Description

Nestled in Boise, this neighborhood café is celebrated for exceptional espresso, inventive lattes and a tempting pastry lineup—bagels, muffins and signature treats like the Bowl of Soul. Regulars praise rich, well-crafted shots, iced and matcha drinks, and a cozy, laptop-friendly atmosphere with morning street parking. Service and brunch items show variability: staff warmth and egg preparation have been inconsistent and seasonal flavors sometimes sell out. Still, coffee aficionados often consider it the town’s go-to for bold, balanced brews.

Yikes. Very friendly service, but who the hell cares when the food and coffee is so horrible. I find it strange that, as a coffee house serving coffee in to go cups, they don’t really have any breakfast options that are good on the go. I got the Java Benedict which was some regular deli ham, watered down hollandaise, and a burnt bagel. Coffee was so hot I couldn’t drink it for 20 minutes so when I finally could take a decent sip it tasted burnt. I couldn’t even finish my $8 coffee. Cant believe it cost $22 for what I thought would be a quick breakfast. The good reviews are clearly for the service and atmosphere, which is great, but personally I value good food/drinks more. Your friend from New Jersey. After attempting to run my credit card three times, you’re not going through. They actually gave me the coffee for free. I of course went back to my car where I actually had some cash, and put the money in the tip jar. The coffee was amazing, but the service made me feel as if I was a VIP.! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The eggs were undercooked and advertised as steamed, which just means they were liquid eggs mixed with ham—essentially just lunch meat. Overall, it was very overpriced.

This morning, I walked in with a smile and greeted one of the staff members, but was met with an unfriendly, cold stare in return. The atmosphere didn’t feel welcoming at all. While the cashier who was assisting other customers was pleasant, my overall experience left a negative impression, and I chose not to have coffee there today.
