The pictures on the dark wooden walls tell the story of the house and the region. The staff is a bit too distant and stiff, but always friendly and attentive. In the end we had to wait too long for the bill. The 4-course menu was great.

It is too far from my present involuntary residence in northern Fr... read more Mother Wittig has only two mistakes: 1. In the 18 years I lived in Bochum, I was too rare. 2. It is too far from my present involuntary residence in northern Frisia. I have an honest effort to balance these mistakes and return as often as possible when I visit Bochum to enjoy the extremely friendly atmosphere, the great food and the cordiality of the staff. Conclusion: You only learn to appreciate things correctly if they are no longer in tangible proximity. I look forward to my next visit to Bochum and to Mother Wittig .

The me... read more Unfortunately, the meal was a disappointment. I had Mutter Wittig's crusty rissoles. It lacked seasoning. The canned mushrooms were completely tasteless. The medallions were the same. A friend of mine had fish, which was apparently quite good. The potatoes, however, were al dente. Another person's rump steak was also terrible. No seasoning. I won't be going there again

Good craftsmanship from the kitchen is served to the guest with warm service. We will now appear more often to enjoy and support this tradition. Thanks for that
