Parking is a little difficult since they do not have a lot. Ordered breakfast items a la carte. Enjoyed their scrambled eggs, croissant, and ham. They...
Care and recommended from the internet we were for breakfast in cafe ferdinand. it only takes forever to be greeted, which happened more or less annoyed. we sat outside after we divorced inside that we wanted to sit out and had to wait 20 until we were served. the coffee came quite fast until the breakfast came, but once again passed 20 min and the coffee had long been consumed. the breakfast itself was standard: buns, buns, croissants, packed honey and butter, . the service staff did not appear again to see if everything is or we would like to order something else. we also had to go in and ask the staff for it. to pay was also reacted quite unfriendly. Conclusion: the breakfast is quite cheap, but does not compensate for the standard taste experience and the unfriendly personal.
Very tasty breakfast, especially the rührei with ham and this milk coffee is simply great. also the other dishes are highly recommended. you're on a good one.
General: Before the evening to the Starlight Express there was a city walk and a visit to the Bergwerksmuseum in Bochum. On the way to the hotel we passed the “Café” Ferdinand and decided to take a quick coffee here. Ambience: Café Ferdinand is an old pub, converted into a café. Cafe Ferdinand with outdoor seats In the exterior are modern seating furniture, in the interior, the furnishings impresse with the style of the original 20s. Unfortunately, I couldn't shoot a photo. But I was really amazed that something like this remains today. Operation: A younger gentleman and a middle lady throw the shop. Both Flaott and friendly in appearance, drinks and the ice cream were on site after a few minutes. The mandatory question for further requests has also been asked. Good. The food: After the city gate tour I had only thirst for a fresh drink. a delicious Moritz Fiege Pils So what was it better than a delicious Moritz Fiege Pils from the barrel for 2,70 €. Grolsch Pils Since we were so close to Holland (yes 560 km from home) my brother-in-law wanted a Grolsch as a bottle beer for € 3.80. Coffee “Schümli” The ladies chose a coffee “Schümli” a ́2,20 € Latte Macchiato and a Latte Macchiato for 2,80 €. Chocolate ice cream with cream In addition you wish a chocolate ice cup for 5,00 € each. The Pils perfectly embedded with beautiful foam crown. The coffee and the latte delicious and fresh and dressed with a lot of love. The ice cream also tasted very good, only the cream was out of the can and scattered quite quickly. Cleanliness: beer garden and restaurant clean, there is nothing to complain. We haven't visited the toilets. Result: Small cozy corner pub for the sound, relax or just watch people.
