Sake House - Bluffton
Sake House
Description
**Sake House: A Mixed Experience of Culinary Heights and Lows**
Sake House presents a varied dining experience, featuring a lively hibachi atmosphere and an appealing sushi menu. While some patrons rave about mouthwatering sushi rolls and generous portions, others have faced significant disappointments. Issues such as overcooked proteins, uneven portion distribution, and even rude service detract from the overall experience. The hibachi shows are entertaining, but the rushed service can leave diners feeling unsatisfied. Though there are culinary triumphs, like delicious broth soups and vibrant sushi platters, inconsistencies in food quality and service suggest that Sake House still has room for improvement to secure a loyal clientele.

The food was terrible and overcooked. The chef/server was more interested in throwing food at the customers, vegetables and fried rice, than he was on getting the orders correct. Some got very large portions while others who ordered the same thing got much less than half what others received. He also left one of 2 proteins totally off of one person's order, so he cooked and served less than 1/2 the meal. He seemed to have no idea what he was doing and really didn't care. The sauce on the steak and scallops was too thick and too sweet. The scallops were scorched and the shrimp extremely overcooked and rubbery. The broth soup was the only part worth eating. The woman who took the orders was very good. The chef/server was terrible.
We had a fantastic evening celebrating a friend's birthday with a hibachi dinner. Our chef, Joe, put on an impressive show while preparing our meal, and our waitress was excellent too! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and I highly recommend this place!
We decided to give Sake House another chance, hoping for an improved experience, but it turned out to be even worse. The food was overcooked, and the yakisoba was overly drenched in jarred teriyaki sauce, making it soggy. To top it off, the waitress was quite rude.
