The Cottage is a great Sunday brunch location. It was very busy but we were seated right away, the service was excellent and the food was divine. We had the seafood scramble and corned beef hash. We also tried the cake which was also delicious. There isstreet parking so grab a space and walk up. Brunch was a little pricey but worth the food and the service.
We have been here many times for lunch, nothing short of perfection each time...finally tried it for breakfast last week and were absolutely not disappointed! Service was friendly as usual, outdoor seating comfortable (even on a hot day! ...and the eggscramble was delicious, hit the spot!
Really cool place ????. The hostess was very nice and welcomed us with a nice smile. The atmosphere was very nice and welcoming. The food was great and our server Hector gave great recommendations. The hamburger was very tasty. Only problem was I didn'tleave room for one of those great looking desserts ???? my fault ????. Next time traveling this direction a stop here is on theagenda. Thanks to the staff for a great lunch. Love the cat.
This little cafe oozes with old town charm and whimsy. The atmosphere is bright and laid-back, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The airy porch, adorned with funky and unique mobiles, was a perfect venue for our lunch. This cafe has the best Shrimps and Grits in South Carolina: the cheese grits are light as air, flavoured with rich smoky bacon, onions, mushrooms, scallions and just enough zip to amp up the fun, and the plump and fresh shrimps are perfectly prepared. This dish was accompanied with a lovely crisp green salad and delicious corn bread, making the whole meal a true delight to enjoy. The Cottage Cafe is a real gem!
The chef here is superb. We came from Hilton Head to try the Sunday-only brunch and we were blown away! The Gumbo is a true Louisiana rue, the shrimp and grits are AMAZING and the poached eggs are perfect. The dessert case will make you salivate as well. Do yourself a favor and DON'T MISS THIS. We sat inside a back room and it was VERY cold in December but the food made up for it. Service: Dine in
