This place is amazing. I tried Indian food for the first time a few months ago. It’s delicious and now I crave it!! If it’s your first time try the butter chicken and don’t forget to order bread. The helpings are very generous!! View all feedback.
What Srivatsan M doesn't like about Sahara Fine Indian Cuisine:
I decided to go here as it was the highly rated Indian restaurant in Kansas City as per reviews. Our Experience : I wouldn't say the food is bad but its average below average. We tried Chilli Panneer here and wouldn't recommend anyone to try. It was more of Sriracha on top of Paneer and Bell Peppers and it didn't taste well. Theri lentil soup tasted like Dal fry without garnishing and was average. Malai Kofta was aga... View all feedback.
Malai Kofta was again average , their Naans were soft and good to have . Finally their Mango Kulfi was a disappointment as we were expecting the real Indian Punjabi Kulfi : The service was pretty good though and we were attended to with proper care and served on time
Absolutely fantastic experience at Sahara! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, setting the perfect backdrop for a delightful meal. The menu offered a rich variety of traditional Indian dishes, each bursting with authentic flavors and expertly prepared. The butter chicken was particularly outstanding, with a creamy, perfectly spiced sauce that was a real standout. The service was impeccable—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. I also appreciated the beautiful presentation of each dish. Overall, Sahara exceeded all expectations and is a must-visit for anyone craving exceptional Indian cuisine. Highly recommended!
I’m so sorry Sahara. My daughter was on my phone and I didn’t know she said that. I’ve eaten here under my brothers name, and it is exceptional!
A decent sized little place for a small strip mall. Conveniently located in the front line of shops near Home Depot, Target, and Best Buy. They serve crispy Papadum bread with a cracker like thin fried texture and a strong flavor. Accompanied by a green chutney and a mango chutney. The Chana Masala was good with a flavorful but not too spicy tomato based sauce over the chickpeas, ordered mild. Served with a nice saffron basmati rice. The Aloo Palak Chana, chickpeas and potatoes in a spinach sauce was also good and added some contrast. The restaurant was small, but wider than the thin strip mall restaurants typically are with tall ceilings. The atmosphere was simple and clean, but barely decorated and could use a little touch of something to the bare walls. Although it does appear that much of their business is takeout. The service was friendly and helpful.
