More of a local eatery, which we liked. The staff was very friendly,, price were pretty good, $22 for dinner. No frills,, none needed, none expected. I got an Italian sub and my wife had the fried chicken sandwich. No complaints from either of us. We will go back if in the area again. View all feedback.
What Deborah Y doesn't like about Papa Joe’s:
Absolute worst experience ever. Waitress was rude and hateful from the get go. She was yelling and cussing at us from across the restaurant because we didn’t have our masks with us. I’m not going to allow someone to speak to me in the manner that she did. That’s not how you treat paying customers. Can’t tell you anything about the food because we left. View all feedback.
I was there today first time eating there. I asked for spaghetti and meatballs I received a large plate of uncooked pasta meatballs were tasteless and over cooked .took a few bites got check then left for woodland bbq down the road for lunch by the way the server hostess was not friendly from the start. My opinion pass this place up for another eatery . The area is filled with quality places.
I was going into this expecting a pleasant Italian dining experience, instead I was met with pizza on store bought crust with the consistency and taste of cardboard. I paid 45 dollars for 2 people to leave hungry and feeling truly terrible. I wouldn’t risk your night here. P.S. my girlfriend made me stay at home after this.
The only thing good about this place was the service. The waitress was prompt and friendly, but she did touch my dad’s fork which was kinda weird. Anyway, I had carbonara which literally tasted like noodles in milk, my sister had pasta with clams that was sort of just fishy buttered noodles, the salmon looked (and tasted) like it had been in the freezer for several years with no cover, and the fried shrimp was unseasoned. I truly do not know how you make a house salad and French onion soup bad, but they found a way. I will not being returning and it was not worth $80 for a family dinner. We literally stopped at the Blowing Rock Market for snackies that’s were far better than this meal and then had leftovers at home.
Food was good and our server did a great job. Would definitely stop here again
This is a charming local eatery, which we really appreciated. The staff was very friendly, and the prices were quite reasonable—just $22 for dinner. It’s a no-frills place, and that’s exactly how we like it. I ordered an Italian sub, while my wife opted for the fried chicken sandwich. We had no complaints at all. We’ll definitely return if we're in the area again.
