Was sandra at The Owlery a mag?
During our one-night stay in Bloomington, we visited The Owlery twice because their food was that good! The atmosphere was relaxed and charming, with owl-themed decor all around. I'm so pleased to have found such a delightful vegan restaurant for my visits to see my IU student. Just writing this review makes me crave the portobello sandwich! Yum! View all feedback.
What Lynn N dislikes about The Owlery:
We were advised to try the nachos, and they certainly lived up to the hype. The dish featured corn chips topped with your choice of vegan or cheddar cheese, cashew queso, black beans, and pico de gallo... View all feedback.
I still long for the steak and cheese. During our last visit, the fries had switched to frozen ones.
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The vegan food was fantastic—I ordered the tofu peanut veggie bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. Our waiter, Julie, was incredibly patient and friendly; she truly deserves a shoutout!
We frequently dine here whenever we're in town. There's a wide variety of delicious vegan comfort food! The selection of beers is quite good too. Lunchtime can get a bit crowded, but when we visited at 4:00 PM (during school break), we were the only customers there.
Several nice sandwich choices, all vegetarian or vegan. The grilled cheese and poutine were fine, but both were too salty to finish. The owl decor is fun, and service was great. Worth a visit for a sandwich and a beer.
