Was Bune Enub at Bistro 79 a mag?
We visited this restaurant during our stay and were impressed! The food was delicious, and our server Nester was exceptional. He had a lot on his plate, but he managed it all wonderfully! The chicken quesadilla was fantastic, and the hummus is a must-try. The bang bang shrimp is definitely worth ordering—it's got a nice little kick to it. The staff here is truly wonderful. What Bune Enub dislikes about Bistro 79:
2 eggs, uncooked hash browns, ham and a English muffin: $20. Orange juice: $7.00. I just spent $27 plus tip for about $3.00 worth of food. Highly recommend you go anywhere else. I’m just lazy.
The entrees were decent, and the burger was good. However, the fried cauliflower was undercooked, with the batter still raw and the cauliflower cool to the touch upon arrival. The French fries were also limp. I was disappointed with this visit compared to my last one a couple of years ago, when we were impressed by the walleye and other delicious dishes.
We visited the restaurant around 1:30 PM and noticed there were just two people at the bar and one at a table. After placing our order, we found ourselves waiting a long time for our food, and even longer for the bill and our credit card to be returned. The atmosphere was nice, but the service was painfully slow, especially since we were on a schedule. As for the food, it was mediocre at best.

I paid $89 for two classic egg breakfasts and two Bloody Marys, but the service was lacking (I was charged more the first time my card was run and didn't receive an itemized receipt). The food was also disappointing; I could have gone to IHOP for the same meal! I originally ordered eggs Benedict, but about 5-10 minutes after placing my order, I was informed they were "out" of it. This was at 7 AM, and we were the only customers in the restaurant. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you're willing to spend $100 for a basic two-egg breakfast.
