Willkommen im Hotel Blessing! Unser Hotel blickt auf eine lange und bewegte Geschichte zurück, bietet Ihnen jedoch modernen Komfort wie TV, Klimaanlage und WLAN. Wir verfügen über Zimmer zu sehr attraktiven Preisen sowie ein beliebtes Restaurant, das täglich – außer an Weihnachten – für Sie geöffnet ist. Das Hotel Blessing wurde 1906 von Jonathan E. Pierce erbaut. Die Pläne dazu stammten von einem Architekten aus Victoria, Texas. Das Design ist inspiriert von spanischen Missionskirchen und wurde in eine typische angloamerikanische Holzverkleidung übertragen. 1977 ging das Hotel in den Besitz der Blessing Historical Foundation über, und im Jahr darauf begann eine umfangreiche Restaurierung. 1979 wurde das Hotel als erstes Objekt in Matagorda County in das National Register of Historic Places aufgenommen – eine besondere Auszeichnung, die seinen historischen Wert unterstreicht. Dank eines großzügigen Zuschusses von 50.000 Dollar der LCRA, Teil ihres Community Development Partnership Programms, konnte das Dach des Hotels erneuert werden. Dieses Engagement zeigt, wie sehr die Gemeinschaft und Unterstützer das Hotel Blessing schätzen und erhalten wollen. Just drove down to have lunch in this wonderful treasure. It is beautiful. Food drinks: The dining room is only open for breakfast and lunch but it is the best home style food around. And OMG if there is turnip greens on the buffet get them. It is made just like my grandma used to make. Made me very nostalgic.
Very disappointed food was not good and cost to much.
This is a very old hotel that is a wonderful experience for anyone who wants to experience old southern charm and hospitality. I recommend eating in the restaurant. It is designed for you to sit at a table and meet new friends, both locals and visitors alike. If you leave hungry, you have no one to blame but yourself.

The hotel was a true blessing in 1954. As a family of 5, we were traveling by car during a flash flood. Water came into our car which was nearly swept away due to current. We made it to the nearest town, appropriately named Blessing. We waded in water to get to the hotel. They only had 1 room left which had 3 beds. Just what we needed. A belated thanks.
