Food drinks: The dining room is only open for breakfast and lunch but it is the best home style food around. And OMG if there is turnip greens on the buffet get them. It is made just like my grandma used to make. Made me very nostalgic.

I recommend eating in the restaurant. It is designed for you to sit at a table and meet new friends, both locals and visitors alike. If you leave hungry, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Water came into our car which was nearly swept away due... read more The hotel was a true blessing in 1954. As a family of 5, we were traveling by car during a flash flood. Water came into our car which was nearly swept away due to current. We made it to the nearest town, appropriately named Blessing. We waded in water to get to the hotel. They only had 1 room left which had 3 beds. Just what we needed. A belated thanks.
