Just enjoyed soup and sandwich for lunch and was very happy with it. Great service and affordable!!
This is the only family restaurant in Didsbury, which gives you every reason to go to Olds or Airdrie for a meal.
I've tried Macy's a few times over the past year, and while the food hasn't been truly horrible, I can't write rave reviews about it.While they have good deals on ordering pizza, I find that it just isn't as tasty as other places in town and surrounding areas. Most of the time, the pizza comes out somewhat undercooked, and soggy. Other issues I've noticed:- smaller portions for what you pay for... I ordered a baked spaghetti for $15, and got a very small oval dishful (4 x 7 inches). While this may be the perfect size for a luncheon portion, I expect prices to be lower to reflect that. (Pasta isn't exactly that expensive.)- once, when I actually had some leftovers, the waiter took it away, and never boxed it up and brought it back to me.On the other hand, I do have to give kudos to Macy's for community service, as they do seem to do a lot to support community endeavors and other events in town; plus the owners are very nice, generous people from what I have heard from other townfolk.
Coming home from camping we called about a half hour out for take home after an exhausting weekend. When we arrived we were asked if it was to stay or take out. When we replied it was takeout one waitress replied "good- because your blocking our entrance". Well- considering there is three entrances to the small lot and we had to block one with our trailer- my wife and I thought it a little rude and in accommodating. Then when we were asked our phone number to locate the order they informed us that it wasn't even started because it was to be picked in an hour- how does "we will be there in 30 minutes" equate to an hour and a half? We left without waiting- I wasn't going to wait the 15-20 minutes for for our food- we appreciate they were going to expedite our food- but I couldn't reward the rudeness and inability to read a clock. Plus- they were probably glad I wasn't blocking 1/3 of their entrances anyways.
