My wife and I did this as part of a larger excursion. The boat driver was very friendly and took time to get everyone on the boat a great view of the animals. He even baited a gator to come right up to the boat! After the tour they provided a delicious meal for the entire group View all feedback.

March 11th, 2015 my wife and I took the Black River Tour from the restaurant. Tour was Ok, but really short. Not sure you could really even classify this as a tour. 15 minute boat ride down and back on a pontoon boat, seen a couple of gators an a couple of birds, a termite nest built in the trees. Bubbles coming up from the bottom. Yay. Tour cost us $30 a piece. Came back and had some lunch, The lunch was the best pa... View all feedback.
It was nice to see crocodiles, but they looked overfeed, since we threw food at them and they didn't bother. During the boat trip, the driver was interesting and the river was full of wild life.
Riverside typically caters to tourists signed up for the Black River tour as part of a package. On a Sunday my family and I visiting from the US passing through Black River wanted to have a authentic full Jamaican meal. The staff was very accomadating and served us a full spread.
Had a good time on the black river, but if you're from south Louisiana please skip this tour. It looks just like home only with crocs instead of gators.
This is a public location which gives the world a wonderful view of some of Jamaica's culture and also gives you one of the best tour up the Black River. We all enjoys the trips which gives you the trill.
