PizzaExpress - Birmingham
PizzaExpress
Description
Pizza Express offers a vibrant atmosphere with friendly staff, making it a popular choice for families and groups alike. Diners appreciate the open kitchen and attentive service, which enhances the overall experience. However, the menu has faced criticism for lacking clarity regarding pizza bases and toppings. While the food is generally flavorful, some feel it could use more variety in ingredients. The standout element remains the exceptional service, with staff going the extra mile to make occasions memorable. Overall, while the dining experience is enjoyable, improvements could elevate it further.

I have tried Pizza Express in various cities and I have always been impressed by the quality of their food. The consistency and taste have always been great at all the locations I have visited. I opted for the Diavolo pizza, which was the best option on their menu. The thin crust pizza was delicious, with toppings that perfectly complemented each other with a spicy kick. I highly recommend this pizza to those who enjoy spicy food, as the Tabasco sauce added an extra kick to it. The ambiance was similar to what I have seen at other locations, with customers enjoying their meals surrounded by pizza boxes. Overall, it was a casual and enjoyable dining experience.
When my group went to Broad Street for dinner after the first round of exams in Birmingham, we tried Pizza Express for the first time. We treated a group of 6 to a great meal, atmosphere, and a good selection of wine. The open kitchen made the dining experience interesting. Overall, we rated the food 3.5/5, atmosphere 3.5/5, and wine selection 3.5/5. A bonus point for being a great spot for my first date in Birmingham as well.
Pizza Express is well-known for its authentic Italian cuisine. I recently dined there with my sister on a quiet Sunday evening. Despite the lack of a crowd, the service was quite slow. The ambiance was pleasant, and we ordered a Pollo Forza pizza and a Leggera Superfood salad, along with a Peroni beer and a watermelon-based mocktail. However, I found it frustrating that the menu did not specify whether the pizza was thin-crust or pan-based, and the staff did not provide this information either. The food was decent, but overall, I wouldn't say it was a stellar dining experience.
Just had a lovely family lunch in Pizza Express, Brindley Place, Birmingham after a birthday outing to the Lego Fiscovery Centre a short walk away. It is our son's birthday. Staff were all really friendly and chatty to all of us, especially my son....Sally, in particular was fab! They were all really attentive too. So sweet that Sally sorted a happy birthday rendition by the staff and a little piece of cake with a candle in even when a different waiter served a dessert to our son. He felt really special! Thank you pizza express. Great service and really appreciated.
The Manager on the evening of November was truly amazing. He couldn’t have been more hospitable on such a busy Saturday evening. We were truly grateful for how accommodating and generous he was at getting us in and treating us so well and...courteously along with his happy friendly team. Thank you for a wonderful evening! These guys deserve a big pat on the back for the way they served us at Brindley Place tonight.
