It is quiete simple. They really do not like tourists. It is no rocket science to see it.
Really cosy and welcoming café in the heart of the Casco Viejo. The staff are kind and attentive, the coffee is excellent, and the homemade cakes are delicious. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options too, so everyone can find something. A lovely spot to relax and feel at home in Bilbao.
We just wanted to have beer and wine al fresco. We tried a few places but they were all crowded. This was near the San Nikolas Eliza church. They have beer, wine, cocktails and food. Not expensive either and staff was friendly.
I entered this place randomly few days ago. Vibe is nice and location as well, service was quite careless and irritating. The lady at the counter looked likes as if she was bothered that someone entered the place, didn't even ask for the order until I went there at the counter, even though the place was empty. I don't see the point of putting stickers around supporting the cause of people living miles away from there when you can't even have an interaction with someone in front of you. For sure the attitude can be much much better. Good luck with your business
We only called into this lovely cafe for coffee on the morning we were leaning Bilbao but wished we’d discovered it sooner! Situated on one of the oldest streets in the city the cafe is delightfully decorated with a modern, stylish feel to it. The staff were really very welcoming pleasant, speaking perfect English. Our coffee was fabulous, really hot, milky frothy. The menu looked nice as did the cakes pasties on the counter. It was very busy with locals, seemed dog friendly too as the Spanish family in the table next to us had an adorable terrier sitting with them.
