One of the few places open in Beziers on Sunday night, and provides good quality food at a reasonable price. Nice tempura menu, udon in soup excellent, and unusually for a Japanese restaurant, a reasonable dessert menu. Pleasant and different View all feedback.
What Keyon Schimmel doesn't like about Osakaya:
I visited after a recommendation from my hotel! I suggest if they really like sushi and had it well before, then they don't bother with here. mediocre, dry, basic sushi. View all feedback.
Wow, this amazing restaurant is a real sound. the quality of food is great and the fixed price menu works very well. the cooking suggestions were a joy and probably not something I would have ordered such a special experience. then to finish everything. the personal is fantastic
We stayed here a lunch for me to try my first sushi. husband told me that it would have won prizes (the implication if I didn't like sushi here, I wouldn't like it anywhere). we have both decided for the bento lunchtime. first. we got a plate with six pieces 'colifornia' (rolled salmon and avocado in rice) and four pieces sushi (salmon, thunfish, garnel and white fish) with sauces. presented beautiful, it was delicious! it followed a bowl of delicious mistsuppet and a few very more-ish teriyaki huh on a spit. the whole meal was presented beautifully and absolutely delicious. the server were friendly and helpful, and the service was quite fast (the place was quite empty at that time). I would definitely go back and suggest that sushi is trying to go here for her first experience.
So great that at last we’ve got a descent Japanese restaurant in Beziers! My critics are always very strict as I have traveled around the world and can fairly judge the quality of the food and service. At Osakaya all the dishes were really great!...Not always sufficient by quantity thought. We ordered a choice of starters and mains a la carte. The starters are rather small. At the end I still was slightly hungry and regretted not to order more. The prices of food and beverages are faire. The service is run by students of hotelier school and was not on the top. Few pieces broken, stressful faces, no sauces provided on the table at the beginning of the meal. We all know that in France is so painful to get qualified waiters and the cost of labor is extra high but it brings down the whole impression of the restaurant unfortunately. The restaurant is well located. Parking places available along the street. The restaurant room is probably missing a bit of warmth and atmosphere. The Japanese lady at the reception is very charming with her kimono and waving hand cat. We will be certainly be back again with friends and family. Good luck to your business! Thanks again for the nice Japanese food!
We had dinner here and ordered a menu, which included 2 Soupes, 2 Salades, 2 Riz 4 Sushi,18 Sashimis, 6 Maki and 6 Brochettes. Even though there were few guests the service was slow, and some of the guests were clearly impatient. The sushi, sashimis...and makis were fresh and tasty. The soup was not at all impressive. The meatballs in the brochettes tasted like they were bought at carrefour nothing bad said about that shop, but you want something more at a restaurant.
Highly recommend this place for its great sushi and more! We went there for lunch based on the good reviews here on TripAdvisor. And we werent disappointed. We had an assortment of sushi, sashimi and a few entres. With a water and Cola it ran...up to 80 Euros for three people. That is a fair price for that much food.
