Ross' - Bettendorf
Ross'
Description
This family-run Davenport diner serves generous, homey breakfasts—think plate-sized cinnamon rolls, “mountain” skillets, and cinnamon-roll pancakes—alongside vegan and kombucha options. The space is clean with a chic throwback vibe and standout coffee, and many patrons praise attentive, friendly staff. However, experiences vary: reports note long waits, occasional cold or undercooked dishes, understaffing and inconsistent service. Despite uneven execution, reasonable prices, large portions, and memorable pastries make it a worthwhile stop for breakfast lovers and visitors to the Quad Cities.

I'm always disheartened when I visit Ross' restaurant in Davenport and find it empty. The food is outstanding, the portions are generous, and the prices are exceptionally reasonable. It's a family-run business, and I fear they might be struggling. Recently, the owner's wife passed away, which adds to the sadness because we just spoke with her during our last visit, and she was such a kind woman. It would be heartbreaking to see this establishment close down, so if you're ever in the mood for some of the best breakfast in town, please show them some support and dine there! The cinnamon rolls are fantastic, and the cinnamon roll pancakes are incredible—definitely my favorite item on the menu.
My mom and I went out for lunch, it was pretty quiet but service was wonderful. I'm gluten free/celiac and their gluten free toast is AMAZING! I haven't been able to find a bread I truly enjoy is months but this is great. It holds up well to butter, didn't crumble and toasted without being burnt. Truly amazing.
