Where to begin? My husband is a hard core foodie and brought me here for date night. The food was amazing, sold wine list and an uber romantic atmosphere. As planning started for my birthday dinner party started, Ristorante MV was at the top of the list. Working with the team was easy. Frank was very responsive to all of my emails. Then 3 days before Mike reached out via text and we settled on cake drop off time and table scape set up. When my party of 12 arrived they were floored and Mike (who never met me in person) saw me enter the door and immediately escorted us to our table. My party had a few celebrities in tow so it was kind of a scene l The table was expertly set exactly as we discussed. As the evening unfolded we are absolutely delicious plates of amazing, inventive but true to rustic Roman cuisine dishes. Everyone loved what they ordered and raved about the interior. We were one of last tables to leave and had a mini photoshoot with mini Fiat out front. Needless to say, I will be back bringing my friends in tow. Definitely a must try!!
I might have caught them on an off night, but I can't be sure. I visited this restaurant for my 53rd birthday dinner, making it my first time there. Our host, Mike, was fantastic and very welcoming. Unfortunately, our waiter was quite the opposite—his attitude was sour, and it felt like he didn't want to be there at all. It's really unfortunate. The food was disappointing, except for the appetizers and the bread. That's all I'll say about that. Service: Dine-in.
Incredible service! The food and drinks were delicious but the real winner is the crème brûlée the server did say it’s the best he’s ever had and I’ll say I definitely agree with him! The restaurant spans two floors, which can feel a bit cramped at times. The food was excellent, but the service did not meet our expectations. Our server didn’t check on us throughout the meal; we were in need of drink refills, and dirty plates lingered on the table. To our dismay, the server didn’t even smile. However, the owner more than compensated for this with his warm demeanor and humor. We started with the Vongole Oreganata, which featured baked Little Neck Clams with seasoned crumbs — I only wished there had been more, as it was outstanding! We also enjoyed the Insalate Mista, a fresh salad with seasonal mixed greens, tomato, peppers, cucumbers, dressed with olive oil and red wine vinegar. For our main courses, we had the Sogliola Alla Oreganata, a fresh filet of sole with lemon, garlic, and herbs that was light and delicious (and I usually don’t enjoy fish), as well as the Vitello La Marsala, featuring veal scaloppine in a Sicilian Marsala sauce with mushrooms and prosciutto — it was simply fantastic, with the veal being incredibly tender. For dessert, we ordered an unforgettable amaretto cake (I can't recall the name, but it was wonderful!) and their tiramisu, both of which were perfect endings to our meal. We also enjoyed a couple of Old Fashioneds (average) and some prosecco. In terms of pricing, it is on the higher side, but absolutely worth it. Overall, I would rate this experience 4.5 stars, if only the service had been better. Enjoy!
The specials menu was a delightful surprise, with everything sounding both creative and delicious. We also tried the anchovy special (not shown), which ended up being my favorite appetizer. The Casino oysters were just average, and our main courses were as expected. The service is consistently excellent, and the ambiance adds an extra touch to the experience.
