What happened? The whole restaurant is filled with cigarette and cigar smoke, as...no one bothers to close the mandatory door between the smoking and non smoking sections. We asked politely to have the door shut, and were met with a stern look of disapproval from the very irritated waitress. We had to ask 3 times before she reluctantly closed the door. The menu needs serious updating keep it simple Weyers and renew the menu once in a while. It's been the same for the past 12 years at least. Café Weyers has become lazy and dull. It used to be filled with friendly waitresses who provided the best, personal service. We cannot think of one good reason why the waitress on our last visit has chosen a job in the restaurant business? Shape up Weyers. You are located in a top position with the greatest rooms. And perhaps it is also time to shut down the smoking section smokers are very happy to stand outside these days. You may lose a few old customers, but the way you are heading you are unlikely to attract any new customers at all.

From the arrival, everybody in this place was very friendly and...keen on making you feel happy. Service looked after us very quickly, drinks came very fast and were very well mixed and chilled. The young man looking after us was very polite and always there when needed. Great job! They have a wide varierty of food and a great vegetarian choice. Watch out for the daily suggestions on the blackboards!! The helpings were very big, the ingediants were very fresh and the price ratio was very good. We spent a very nice evening here and will definitely be back.

It... read more We are staying at the Hotel Abba as part of a Cosmos tour. We wanted a good German dinner close to the hotel and based on some reviews, we chose Weyer Cafe. It was a short, pleasant walk -about 2 blocks. We arrived about 6...on a Tuesday evening and they were busy but not overly. We were seated right away and our waiter was very friendly, switching easily into English when we struggled with our limited German. My husband ordered the schnitzel and I the roulade. Our meal came out quickly and it was DELICIOUS! The Roulade came with red cabbage and potatoes that were surprisingly flavorful. The schnitzel was accompanied by warm German potato salad and cranberries; whole berries slightly sweet and tart. We could not have been more pleased. Along with a Berliner Bier, it was exactly the wonderful German meal we were hoping for. The restaurant had a nice warm atmosphere and our waiter was attentive and accommodating. My husband ordered the apple strudel and the waiter kindly brought two spoons so we could share. As other reviewers claim, the strudel was amazing!! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and hope I have the opportunity to eat there again!
