The dark-haired girl who served us on the terrace on Friday night was super sweet, patient and attentive although it was clear she was quite busy and had a load of tables. Drinks were so-so, nothing to write home about. Barman brought out a glass of Pinot Grigio for my friend and announced it as such although it was not what she had ordered. When I said, Chardonnay? he corrected himself, oh yes, I meant, Chardonnay. Friend took a sip and sure enough it was Pinotwe both work gastro in Berlin so a) know this trick but b) couldn't really be that upset with him as we'd both probably done it in the past and it was fairly busy. Still, though, a more appropriate response would have been so say that it was their mistake and ask if she would like to keep the glass of wine or wait another couple of minutes for the right one. In this case she probably would have just accepted the Pinot, but without feeling somehow verarscht. Inside, while being obviously meticulously decorated, it has quite a faceless sterile corporate quality about it, but the smells coming from the kitchen were amazing. We only had drinks but everyone's food looked and smelled incredible. Had a look at their menu, will go again to sample the comestibles. All in all a decent experience on a Friday night in Fhain, especially if you want an escape from the usual tourist and hipster haunts in the area.

The staff are incredibly warm and friendly and speak English, if you need it. And the food is delicious. I am unhealthily obsessed with their broccoli al forno, a dish comprised of broccoli simmered in a cream sauce with prosciutto and them baked with a bit of cheese on top. It is sinful how delicious this tastes and is perfect as a starter to share. The pizzas are lovely (and have a variety of fun and interesting flavors, including duck with arugula and their Via Nova special with salmon and shrimp!. The calzone is a massive delicious bit of baked heaven that is also airy and fun, filled with cheese and ham. There is also a nice selection of wine at the ready. Agree with earlier reviews: this is a great place to start your night!

Tried the pork... read more Via Nova has a great lounge-y vibe with soft lighting. The waitress was warm, attentive and gave great beer recommendations and food suggestions. Tried the pork chops with mushrooms and sauce and it was do delicious! Also tried standard pasta and a chicken dish with lemon sauce. The service was fast and the prices are fairly cheap with plates at 10-12 euro.
