If you are looking for something special and a real treat away from the tourist mainstream this is the place to be. A small selection and daily changes on the menue never disappoint.

After I´ve read a couple of good reviews in Berlin newspapers I was quite excited to come here and was a little disappointed. The biggest disappointment were the starters. We had a quiche and a lentil soup, both for Euro, but lacking anything outstanding....Both servings were very small, too. I had pak choi with mushrooms for my main course. It was very good, but also quite expensive at Euro and not very filling.

This hidden gem turned out to be one of the highlights of my last Berlin visit. Top class food in a friendly and pleasantly unpretentious atmosphere. Will definitely return.

I've been here several times now, and it's always a great place to sit down! Regional products and lots of love for the food

Berlin Restaurant Review: 'Treptower Klause ' Test: 'Roast Goose with Red Cabbage and Dumplings ' Special The restaurant attracted increasing attention due to its increasingly positive reviews, making a visit there this year 2024 worthwhile. We made a reservation well in advance I recommend it! and, as requested, were given a larger table. The restaurant appears unassuming—even from the outside—with an unappealing, austere ambiance and a very obvious need for renovation. The benches, tables, and seating are of adequate quality. The heating was rather sparse on the day we visited; we found the room too cold. The reception was friendly and attentive, with a very agile and attentive Anne Köster service . We chose the 'Roast Goose with Red Cabbage and Potato Dumplings ' special—also advertised on the website—priced at €35.50 per person. The wait for Jussuf Kremke kitchen to prepare the dish was reasonable; the Montepulciano, which we had ordered in the meantime and was promptly served, filled the gap and warmed us up heating! . The roast goose with red cabbage and potato dumplings, which was soon brought to us, was served with plums and apple slices as side dishes. Since a goose consists of more than just a leg, anyone who had one on their plate was simply lucky. The offer is not simply leg of goose with red cabbage and potato dumplings ! ; guests who wish to take advantage of this offer—until December 26, 2024—should ask the chef in advance. The dumplings were small, airy, and spongy. Both the leg of goose and the roast goose were too dry and stringy. The comment to the waitress was met with a less than friendly, rather snippy, ...you 're the first one today. Considering the restaurant opened at 6 p.m. and we had a reservation for 6:30 p.m., that may well be true. Despite our disappointment with the roast goose, we were even able to laugh at this snippy remark. The roast sauce was too little for the table, not enough, and seemed too thin and watery. We ordered more, and it, too, was definitely too watery and—perhaps due to the restaurant 's excessive demand—diluted. You can do that, but you have to be very careful. A chef who trained under Michelin-starred chef Franz Raneburger 'Bamberger Reiter ', Berlin-Schöneberg should know this. All in all, we were full, but not thrilled. The stark, austere ambiance may not appeal to everyone, but it might not bother you at a late, boozy hour—open until 10 p.m.—so it 's no longer a problem. We didn 't want to linger in this place too long, so we headed back out into the Berlin night. PS: The female companion of this restaurant visit was surprised by diarrhea the next day; that may or may not have been due to the roast goose...
