We had already been to the wonderful old pub BRAUSTSTUBL in this area and very close to the lake,enjoyed some nice iced cold beer 's there when we made our way to this fantastic kooky floating chalet/bar/restaurant. We had read up about it back in our home town of Liverpool so had a rough idea of were it was and how to get there. We walked to the jetty and pressed a call button ,this alert 's the staff on SPREEARCHE who come and fetch you on a outboard motor "boat "little bit rickety but it got us over to the chalet. What an experience,as it was roasting hot day so we just sat on the deck ,ordered bottle 's of FLENSBURGER BEER and just totally chilled out ,taking in the lovely lake and planning the rest of our day. This place is certainly popular,as we did 'nt have a meal we cannot comment on the food but it looked and smelt superb. We stayed here for about two and a half hour 's ,had 3 bottle 's each of FLENSBURGER BEER and a big BERLINER PILSNER and it 's a memory that will stay with me and my twin brother for a long time. The staff were superb,very nice ,relaxed and cheerful as are the customer 's you get on this unique destination.To get to the lake is not to hard,jump the SBAHN at stop OSTKREUZ.S3. to FRIEDRICHSHAGEN (run every 10 minute 's) then jump team T60 down to MUGGELSEEDAMM/BOLSCHE STRASSE,3 stop 's then head to the lake. Opening hour 's are; Sunday to Thursday,midday till 9pm. Friday Saturday,midday till 10pm. Magical experience and one i will repeat when were back in Berlin in August for the fantastic Berlin Beer Festival.
