A really great and price friendly place to eat if you are in Berlin and are looking for some vietnamese food or sushi. The staff is friendly, as well. The whole family highly recommends the restaurant. View all feedback.
What Kristina Pieper doesn't like about Shi-mai:
good service. we have served the menu and drinks for 14 people and was ready to order sushi for everyone. then we were told that there was no sushi!? they could have told us that before the nase when they left the menu card. very bad. experience. View all feedback.
Ordered red curry prawn for lunch. Very tasty and av bit spicy, really good. Nice place to rest after spending a few hours at the DDR museum
The food was fantastic and the service was good. We also had limonade made with Lime and another made with koriander - very tasty.
The food was absolutely delicious, but i got my menu and finished before my friend even got his menu. Very slow service, it took almost an hour to make 18 makis. Not even apologies for the delay or the serving at different times.
Sometimes when you crave Asian food in strange place i.e. Europe, you just have to walk around and hope that you find one and it is good. I walked around this cluster of restaurants and spotted Shi-Mai and saw what their customers eating and it looked delicious. It didn't disappointed me. My beef grilled was tasty, vegetables was perfectly sautéed, I got hot and sour soup too. I also tried Saigon street ice coffee which is OK not as good as my favorite Thai ice coffee.
The food is fantastic and the staff excellent! I can highly recommend their duck dishes. The food is quite authentic and prices are reasonable. Nice for all kinds of diners!
