I can't believe I needed six years to finally visit this place and see a theatre performance. I knew this theater existed when I moved there. .
The stage is my first address for demanding theatre entertainment for many years. besides the outstanding dance theatre pieces by sasha walz, numerous performances such as hedda fork from ibsen or also shakingpeere summer night or hamlett. last I saw western Berlin from and with regenald grebe. interesting episodes from the wall city between postwar and wallfall. it was a very entertaining evening with well-known christiane f,. wolgang neuss, helga götze etc. I also like the uncomplicated atmospähre in the stage. there is a nice caffe, spine replace the garderobe and there is no label in relation to the clothes.
I like the best among all theaters in berlin! the best piece is hedda gabel by Ibsen/Ostermeier. ibsen is always up to date and the history of hedda gabler, an attractive and self-confident woman remains just as current. reality and illusion, desire for freedom and inexhaustible. katharina shaker plays hedda very strange and not bad and after my opinion externally this roll does not fit. katja rimman, who played in hans otto theater the hedda gabler fits perfectly. but everyone has his own opinions and it is good. this is not visible. also glocka figura by yasmin reza/ thomas ostermeier. schaubühne is highly recommended. beautiful rooms, service, stage picture and often interesting plays!
Small stage, nothing special, they can go, but they don't have to, for the ticket price they find better pieces elsewhere.
The stage was founded in 1962 under the name of the stage of the show in halleschen ufer as a private theatre with a political and socially engaged time plan. Since then, the stage has developed as an absolutely recommended theatre, especially in the new drama and is one for every theaterman when they stay in berlin. No matter what's in order. until I enjoyed every stage. you're kind of close, right in the middle. the game on the stage feels real and I go out of the stage every time very attentively. the ensemble is great. also the theatre training of the house is worth mentioning. besides the presentations around the pieces there are also workshops where everyone can participate. these are offered to fit some pieces and productions on the schedule. At the same time there is a dedicated jugendtheater group that performs a staging every year shortly before the summer! all absolutely worth seeing!
