What an amazing experience. Top notch treatment from the server and maitre d. Food was high quality, beautiful setting, great ambiance. Yes this is a hotel restaurant, but if you're looking for good fondue, you need to come to this restaurant.

This meal will go down as one of the absolute best I have ever had the good fortune to enjoy. I made a reservation for me, my aunt and my uncle at 9:30pm on a Friday night, the latest they will seat. The staff was the epitome of courteous and welcoming, speaking perfect English for the benefit of my non-Deutsch-speaking relatives. We were seated at a corner table overlooking the Ku'Damm's night lights. The tables were very generously spaced and we felt very well looked after. We decided on the four course menu. I had artichoke, tuna, lamb, and a selection of cheese. My aunt had artichoke, king prawn, venison, and valrhona chocolate cake, and my uncle had quail, king prawn, coalfish, and chocolate cake as well. Everything was innovatively prepared with creative uses of ingredients and beautifully plated. The artichoke was served with little bits of heavenly creamy smoked mozzarella, chunks of tomato and slices of dessicated tomato (surprisingly sweet and chewy , some greens and a scoop of olive oil sorbet. The tuna came in little perfectly seared cubes, served with brussel sprouts, shallot cream and duck pastrami (see what I mean about creative combinations? The crusted lamb saddle was the most flavorful and tender lamb I have ever tasted. I almost orgasmed when I tasted it. It came with two beautiful pastry tubes filled with creamy goat cheese and some veggies. If that description didn't make you drool, you must be crazy. Yes this place is expensive, but it is worth every penny. I recommend it highly for your next special occasion meal.

Went here on a Saturday night at 9pm and had the place to ourselves! Can't believe this place wasn't more crowded! We had excellent service, amazing view, and the best food on our trip! Food was healthy, light, and satisfying. Appropriately priced. I highly recommend the fresh fish with their risotto. Waiters and servers were very personable and friendly to Americans. Menus in English and German. Planning on returning next time I'm in Berlin!

When we arrived the Gerant was not aware of our reservation but found us a table. The table was awkward for four people and in a corner. After we raised this to him he found us another table when everyone else was seated. He also informed us there was only the Sylvester menu, no price was mentioned. We were shocked to find out that the menu was EUR 155 per person. Although the menu had seven courses, this was really not value for money. Not for the food that was served and not for the service. The dishes were mediocre at best. Having made the reservation for 7 p.m., we were served the first dish close to 8.30. Also after the first serving we were kept waiting regularly. After the first 3 dishes, the table wasn't cleared when we finished. We waited. The wine was served late and with the main dish (Reerucken) the wine was served after the dish was finished. The wine was OK, nothing to remember. The floor team was clearly understaffed. They were friendly and it is really nothing against them. They did mostly what they could. They were running around all the time, but seemed to have not enough time to serve hot/warm food, serve the wine and clear table. There were never any explanations/descriptions of the dishes that were served. With EUR 155 the dinner was really overpriced, I am tempted to say: a rip-off. After dinner we went back to our hotel. When we returned to the hotel, within 2 hours our son developed stomache ache and was vomiting for the next 3 hours, all signs of foodpoisining. He did not have anything to eat or drink since the dinner, except water. Our written complaint received no response.
