Great what you might call typical Indian style kitchen and fantastic Tamil specialities the service can be a bit slow but totally worth it. We 've also ordered out great as well. Watch out, though spicy here is really spicy, not German spicy. Edit: Just a note we tried their delivery service recently and it was very very slow! Be warned. Food was still great but I don 't think I would recommend ordering delivery However, they do have a great buffet on Saturday nights!

Lovely soft idlis, very tasty sambar, albeit with more vegetables than we're used to. Heavenly dosas. We tried the masala dosa and the ghee roast I think. Both terrific! As good as a good restaurant back home, which we weren't expecting at all! We also ate a couple of vadas that were complimentary. Tasted great, especially with some very nice chutneys. I'm pretty sure the cook had gone out of the way to not tone down the spices. 4 5 for the service. The local waitress, while sweet and polite, was obviously confounded by the big menu and foreign words on them, so it was a little difficult for us to explain to her what we wanted the first time. She managed to get everything right though, and afterwards the Srilankan cook himself came over and we had a nice conversation where we practiced our slightly rusty tamil. : 3 5 for the view. We sat outside because of a noisy large group inside the restaurant. Thankfully we were enjoying the amazing food way too much to be overly bothered by our surroundings. Overall a really good, authentic tamil meal (South Indian Srilankan for a very reasonable price. Would definitely go back, perhaps even to check out the buffet they said they offer in the afternoons, the next time we're in Berlin and close by.

The decor has improved lately (a b... read more SUNDAY VEGGIE BRUNCH AT RAAMSON! I live around the corner so I have been to Raamson many times over the past couple of years. The decor has improved lately (a bit) and the service has improved a lot. I have always found the food to be good (I can only speak for the vegetarian dishes) but I was just there for their all-you-can-eat vegan/vegetarian brunch (almost everything is vegan) and it was fantastic, everything very fresh, with lots of different hot and cold savory dishes and lovely fresh mango, pineapple and watermelon as well as a (non-vegan) sweet. It is excellent value for 8 euros. I was with two friends, one of them a professional chef and we were all impressed. They will only continue it if more people come, so do get yourself down there next Sunday, please. The hours for brunch are 11 am to 3 pm.
