Pizzas with genuine Italian mass, quality ingredients and excellent treatment. Monella is an authentic pleasure and guarantee of well-made food, both in the Neukölln district and throughout Berlin. View all feedback.
What Vanessa B doesn't like about Monella:
Nice ambient and decoration, but I'm sorry, neapolitan pizza definitely isn't served here. Antipasti were nice but nothing special, something you can probably buy in a deli and put on a plate. Pizza menu were interesting to see at first but the quality of the ingredients used was poor. Definitely a glorified bar pretending to be an authentic pizzeria. View all feedback.
I spent my birthday at Monella's new restaurant in Wedding yesterday evening. We had a lovely time! Truly fantastic wine and food! I can whole-heartedly recommend this place. Excellent service. Five stars for this new location.
We had a bad experience here, one of the waitresses was seriously rude and grumpy thoughout, amazing she chooses to work in hospitality! Drinks order brought to us was wrong and we were just told to drink it anyway, the service really just ruins the whole experience, the pizza had nice flavour toppings but the middle third of the base was uncooked dough and the toppings just slide off, we were so hungry we ate it anyway! Also beware if you do go and order extra topping of olives as remarkably they use olives with stones in!
Worst experience ever. first and last time. we booked a table with the whatsapp number published on the website, when we arrived the waiter, very un polite, said that they do not have a table for the four of us, that reservations via whatsapp never work (even if we have confirmation), that he doesn’t know why they keep publishing that number and we should leave the restaurant. all this with rude ways and without any attempt to try to recover the situation. to my whatsapp messages and phone calls to the same number, no one ever answered (he was online). he replied after a few hours, saying he is the owner of the pizzeria, he is sorry that things went wrong and that he hopes we found another place to eat.... He also said that he would call me the day after to “apology’s and try to fix the sad evening”, Obviously he never did.
First time in this place, and since I was not too hungry, I just order a calzone. Big mistake, because it was as big as the pizzas that my friends had. I didn't try the pizzas, but they looked super nice. The fried calzone had good ingredients, but I think I rather have my calzone's baked instead of fried. I also had an Aperol spritz, perfect for the warm night. The service was perfect. The waitress was super friendly, fast and helpful. Unfortunately, it seems that because my food was fried, it took longer to be ready than the pizza. Recommendation: order the pizza and you'll have a perfect time!
As The title says, one of the best Neapolitan pizzas in Berlin. The place is nice, looks like a neukölln hipster bar. A little too loud though. Anyway the pizza is definitely to try. The service is kinda slow most of the time but hey, we're talking about Easy-going-Neukölln attitude. It's fine. Check the specials at the blackboard!
