I'm thrilled, my new insider tip in Berlin – great service, interesting wines, a fantastic, surprising menu, and the optional signature dish – the bratwurst – is a must. Jonas Merold learned from Tim Raue, among others. Thanks to the team for this fantastic evening.
I've lived in Berlin for 15 years and eat out a lot. Merold is my absolute favorite restaurant; I've never had such good food anywhere else.
The waitress asked me if I enjoyed the dessert. I said no because I didn’t. Her answer was same to me „Auch gleich“ . And that was the perfect finishing touch for a very dismal dinner rounded off by the stalest, driest of mini doughnuts that ever survived a few days’ wait before being imposed upon guests who had been patiently labouring through three and a half hours for three miserly courses. Uninspired and scarce food is served up with ridiculous flourish and minced meat, an onion and a dish of radishes will set you back 70€. So if you can spare yourself this overpriced, understaffed restaurant, please do.
Extremely delicious and successful cuisine with seasonally appropriate creations.
