I had the bulgogi that was great and the avocado-kimchi salad was amazing. I licked the plate. another thing that distinguishes it from most berlin restaurants was their cleanliness. normally dirty bathroom=dirty kitchen, but maru was impeccable. I can finally recommend maru if they want a good Korean with variety.

I have expected something more exotic in the taste. I took ramen. Cost of food...OK! Waitress a bit unfriendly. I was waiting for a friend of mine to pay but she looked to be reaaally inpatient

When they closed for renovations in 2016 I got wo... read more We've been going to Maru for a couple of years and always enjoyed the casual atmosphere and authentic cuisine. When they closed for renovations in 2016 I got worried. No more worries though, they have reopened, redecorated, and importantly redone the menu to include an...amazing range of new dishes. Service is polite and helpful as always. No fake Koreans here ; I haven't worked my way through the new menu just yet, but really enjoyed trying the new options both vegetarian and not so vegetarian. Prices have increased just a bit (but frankly I always wondered how they made ends meet with the old prices). Highly recommended!
