I was here with my partner and we were both very satisfied! The warm potato and cucumber salad and the cranberry jam were the perfect accompaniment to the schnitzel. The portion was generous and the food arrived quickly! We'll definitely be back.
We had meatballs, Wiener Schnitzel, Flammkuchen, the salad with goat cheese and a children's chicken schnitzel, and every dish was really delicious.
This restaurant is something of a hidden gem, far removed from the Prenzlauer Berg mainstream but close to the popular Kollwitzplatz with all its trendy shops and restaurants. At Laib und selig, you'll find German cuisine accompanied by rock music from the last millennium. I find the concept amusing, as restaurants serving German food were becoming increasingly rare back then. A little tip for vegetarians and vegans: you'll find something to eat there too.
Beautiful location right in the heart of Prenzlauer Berg. Very friendly service and a rustic atmosphere, delicious food. Thank you and keep it up!
We were here for Christmas dinner. The service was truly excellent – very friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is also nice, but NOT wheelchair accessible. However, the Christmas dinner was a real disappointment – you're definitely paying for the location, not the quality of the food. The duck breast was incredibly dry, the fish dish needed a lot of extra seasoning – overall, the portions were rather small for the relatively high price. Unfortunately, the dessert contained alcohol, and there was nothing for the children. This should be addressed next year.
