I am from India and on all previous occasions I have been pleasantly surprised by food quality. Unfortunately, Naveen Path last night was not quite so. First, there is a different weekend menu which is priced higher and has some weird preparations that are almost never cooked in Indian cuisine. The cheaper menu here on yelp is for students during the weekdays. The information board outside the restaurant only has the cheaper menu on it. The restaurant calls itself a South Indian specialist but far from it. The service was pretty weird the server dressed like a cowboy and friendliness did not seem to be his forte. He was pretty unhappy because we did not leave him a tip. We ordered Daal (lentils) which was decent, nothing exceptional. The spinach dish that we ordered had virtually no taste at all! The rice however was pretty nice with the added cumin flavor. Total damages for two dishes (rice included) and free tap water 15.5 eur. There are other more authentic and friendlier Indian restaurants in Berlin.

Food was mediocre at best, hygiene standards questionable, service rude and disrespectful, the waitoid kept his phone glued his ear throughout. A big thumbs-down!
