I de... read more In the Bergmannkiez neighborhood, one restaurant follows another. I was there for lunch with a friend in the summer, and choosing a restaurant wasn't easy. I definitely see that as an advantage. We finally decided on this restaurant because it had outdoor tables, and one was free. The great thing was: they had a lunch special. I confess I don't remember the price. It wasn't a bargain, nor should it be—I'm thinking about the location, the rents, and the quality of the ingredients. I ordered Mattar Paneer. What arrived was half a child's plate. Two tiny pieces of paneer stared out from the tomato sauce. The dish was about the size of a toddler's fist. I was truly shocked and didn't want to spoil my friend's day, so I didn't say anything. It's supposed to taste good, and the price is supposed to be justified somehow. I'm not a restaurateur, and I suspect it's not an easy time. In the end, only the fair ones will survive. There are so many good Indian restaurants, I certainly don't need to go here again.
