We found this place completely be accident one morning while looking for a place to have breakfast. We were greeted at the door by Anna who told us all about the place and the menus and made us feel very welcome. The food was great,...the German omelette with crispy bacon was awesome!!! Great place, wonderful staff and the perfect breakfast after a night out in Berlin!! View all feedback.
What Nancy Maurer doesn't like about Grune Lampe:
we have GROUPON lunch voucher for 2 "all they can eat ' that was just disgusting. the restaurant is a large joint in excellent location....but the dried cold buffet was simply not edible. there was a similarity to Russian, but overall. it was a tasteless cold, dried mule. the personal was very polite...NIE against View all feedback.
My man and I had a wonderful tasty dinner accompanied by friendly and hospitable service, so much we went back the next night and had an equally pleasant time. nikolai, the owner is a nice, friendly and warm-hearted man, we look forward to our next visit when we soon live in Germany. make sure they have the pelmeni, carrot soup, beet salad, bonuses that go!
We found this place completely accidentally a morning while we were looking for a place to breakfast. we were greeted at the door of anna, who told us everything about the place and the menus and felt very welcome. the food was great., the German omelette with crispy speck was super! great place, wonderful staff and the perfect breakfast after a night in berlin!
Nice expirience with the Kaviarbrunch with our group of 25 persons. Place to be if you want to enjoy Russian food at a very democratic price. Nice service and very friendly ! Must do if you visit Berlin.
First of all, we love Russian cousine and we know it. That was the reason we decided to visit this place. Menu is in German only not even in Russian. I don 't know how good their buffet may be, but a la carte...was terribly overpriced. When we arrived to the restaurant there was just a couple beside us. Even a simple drink order took ages. For the main course we had to wait for over an hour and there were no people beside us ordering food. The waitress was chatting all the time next to our table with a customer (on how she 's washing her hair with kefir , so you could forget a romantic dinner right away. Restaurant 's interior was very simple, some green table lamps hanging on the wall. After waiting for an hour we were simply very disappointed with the food. It was cold and not tasty. My Chicken Kiev had extremely hard shell, definitely fried for too long, and chicken meat was very chewy. The idea of leaving this place right away crossed my mind. The waitress saw the disappointment on my face, obviously, and with some bad excuses my girlfriend got some extra chicken, which was more like insult and not a compliment as it was not tasty at all. After we were done i decided to pay with my credit card, but for some reason it didn 't worked out. OK, we tried another card and it didn 't worked either. So, we tried 3 different cards and none of them worked obviously which was not our fault. At the end, we paid with cash and left this place as quickly as possible. Can not recommend this place to anyone, who likes good Russian cousine and big portions.
