They do Thai food head and... read more Goodtime has been my favorite restaurant in Berlin for many years! Not just my favorite Thai restaurant, but my favorite restaurant! They do Thai food head and shoulders above any other I've ever had. I've followed them from their first location on Chausseestraße (long since...closed), to the beautiful location at Hausvogteiplatz, and now also on Teltower Damm. The ambiance at the Teltower Damm location doesn't compare to the elegant, modern decor of the Hausvogteiplatz, but the food is equally scrumptious, and the service is even better! There's absolutely nothing wrong with the service at Hausvogteiplatz, but at Teltower Damm there's a warmth, an attentiveness, and friendly smiles that go above and beyond. The prices aren't for students counting their pennies, but it's still a bargain at the price.

While not cheap eats the creativity, presentation and quality of the food make it very worthwhile. Everything I've had has been tasty. Highly recommended.

However, we certainly won't be returning because the service was so professionally unobtrusive. Eye contact was avoided in a truly remarkable way. After our initial order, we had great difficulty ordering another drink, and dessert was never offered. Eye contact was useless, as were subtle hand gestures or even a raised arm. Even paying the bill required considerable effort from the customer. My sympathies go out to the kitchen team, whose good work was rendered worthless by the incompetence and arrogance of the service staff.
