Now after restauration the place preserved the long beautiful bar and you can enjoy if with a good drink.

All pumped up and excited or our first night out... read more Me and a group of 3 friends, all around 20 years old decided to check out the Berlin nightlife on a Wednesday. All pumped up and excited or our first night out in Europe we googled some "good places to go in Berlin" and stumbled across what seemed like a good selection of clubs, ranging from house and techno to electronic more modern music. We first went to Kaffee Burger, which was a bit of a let down - VERY electro and odd music, so we made our way to our next "recommended" club - delicious donuts. Delicious donuts was hard to find and the sign outside the front was misleading - oh, and the club was COMPLETELY EMPTY. The club seemed a bit dingy, small, smoky and outdated (perhaps just not what we're used to in England) and it was by no means buzzing. However saying that, we were there around 11.30pm and Berlin nightlife is renowned for not getting hot until at least 1!We befriended a nice group of Canadian guys and a gorgeous transsexual who were very helpful and pointed us in the direction of another club! The bar staff were also very helpful. Advice: Berlin is definitely a dress down sort of place! Anything more than jeans and a t-shirt and you'll feel out of place. Save your expectations of a huge night for the weekend, or befriend a lovely transsexual who knows where to go!
