For several years, I loved this authentic beer garden, located directly on the Spree River, and also appreciated its Bavarian beer and ambiance. I often stopped here on my way home and often visited this location with friends. My experience yesterday abruptly ended that connection, and I can only encourage anyone who doesn 't want to be loudly insulted by the landlord to do the same: When I ordered a Radler and (in this Bavarian setting) assumed I was getting a Bavarian Helles mixed with lemon soda, I realized after just one sip that I had been given a Pilsner and asked for a proper Radler (and not Alsterwasser). But I hadn 't reckoned with the landlord, who loudly claimed that Radler was always mixed with Pilsner and that I could jump back in line and order something else. My suggestion that this was probably a misunderstanding and that it would be nice to correct it was met with mocking laughter and loud rebuke that I was a know it all for whom he couldn 't do anything. Well, I would have gladly left the right at the counter and instead hoped for a generous settlement, or at least a friendly, obliging word. Instead, however, I was treated as a guest with more rudeness than ever before in decades. And I certainly won 't allow another opportunity for that (even with my friends). This place should be avoided!
