Although the main menu is s... read more This was our first visit to Berlin and how welcome we felt on walking into Cafe Rix. The room is beautiful and the ambience relaxed. Although the main menu is small there are seasonal specials and the food was reasonably priced and well cooked. The...pork 'schnitzel' were delicious and the portions generous. We drank the half litre of German white which was delicious. We returned for breakfast on another occasion and would definitely do so again

The service was friendly and the setting very chilled, which is just what you want on a Sunday morning. The food cooked and cured meats, cheeses, salads, hot options sausages, egg and pancakes...plus the incredible yogurt was excellent

Outside, little has changed—and it wasn't necessary. I haven't yet seen the food on offer (from 6 p.m. —otherwise, it's once again a pleasant café with very friendly service and reasonable prices. It's just a shame that it (usually doesn't open until 4 p.m.
