The venue itself is attractive but we w... read more We were looking for a nice outdoor place for a birthday breakfast in Neukoln and it was a shame we settled for Cafe Rix. The venue itself is attractive but we waited more than 40 minutes for a vegetarian breakfast. When we arrived we asked to see an English menu and it felt like the waitress flung it on the table and walked off. We got our coffees within 10 minutes but then waited at least half an hour for the food. The plate was simply bread, cheese and fruit so we could not understand why it took so long to arrive. The orange juice was not fresh and the coffee wasn't great either. Not sure why this place has gotten good reviews before.

My heritage is half German so i was looking for a traditional German meal my grandma used to cook when I was little. I need to admit the restaurant hasn't disappointed me at all. I've tried the goose with red cabbage and potato dumplings. It was more than delicious and exactly what I was looking for. The service was kind,genuine and spoke English really well. If I ever go back to Berlin I will definitely pass by that restaurant again. Always a pleasure!

Outside, little has changed—and it wasn't necessary. I haven't yet seen the food on offer (from 6 p.m. —otherwise, it's once again a pleasant café with very friendly service and reasonable prices. It's just a shame that it (usually doesn't open until 4 p.m.
