We ate here one Saturday night and went for the tasting menu. If you wish to witness virtuoso cooking, lots of clever techniques and remarkable flavours you will be impressed here. Other reviewers for this entry clearly like this but we found it strangely unsatisfying. Perhaps we made a mistake opting for the tasting menu, the food was truly special but it came very slowly which was not surprising in view of the work employed for each dish. The problem for us was that the meal was a performance and not for satisfying an appetite. Probably the wines with the tasting menu are too generously offered and for me could be finer with smaller samples, but that's a personal choice and not a complaint. Do eat here, you will not waste your visit and if it's your style you will undoubtedly returnfor future special occasions. However this restaurant wasn't full so I suspect I'm not alone in my appreciation.

We left exhausted. Three courses - no aperitif, no coffee - 3-1/2+ frustrating hours. We sat on the terrace where an irate neighbor poured gallons of water on the roof right over our heads at hour two - protesting noise. Seemingly, a long standing beef since we were escorted inside after three hours. Service was inept - you shouldn't have to wait for a fork at an establishment like this. English speakers: beware. We think "billy-goat" on the translated menu means "venison". Food? Just okay given the hype and pricing. All in all - a disappointing, disastrous experience.

Amazing experience! We went in there with a little group and we had such a great time. We left the owner pick the menu for us and beautifully paired the wine with it. That’s the perfect food experience if you want to be taken in charge by the staff. Personally, when I travel, it’s the kind of little gem I am looking for and I was lucky enough to know somebody from Germany who could make me discover this great friendly place.

What a gem! Here for a week of work and the understated atmosphere and friendly service made it feel more as though I was at a friend’s house than a restaurant, just the balm my soul needed. The proprietor/chef is quite friendly and funny, though my choice to go with two apps instead of a true meal threw him off a bit, he solved by bringing some soup for my dining companion as well. The soup was thin in body but rich in flavor and the homemade ice cream set off the chocolate cake perfectly. The wine list is extensive and dessert is a must— the delicate jiggle of the panna cotta is everything— but leave your American Express at home
