Aspendos - Berlin

The food and the service were excellent and the place is real value for money. Don't expect a gourmet experience but the food itself is well prepared and fills you up.

I've been dozens of times in the past five years or so, usually to get freshly made pide with sucuk and egg, which I haven't found so tasty anywhere else in Berlin.

Bowled in at 9pm after many beers at the Neues Ufer bar over the road where the barman recommended Aspendos. We weren't disappointed, excellent food especially the kebabs and lahmacun and friendly service. No reviews for Neues Ufer it seems which is a shame as it's a great little bar, big on Bowie who lived a few doors up 1976-1978.

I recently visited this cafe while visiting the sights in Berlin. The Berlin Breakfast is simply amazing! The large plate had a vast array of fresh fruit, cheeses, meats, breads and even the humble boiled egg! The large Americano was also just the ticket to cure any weary traveller. The staff were friendly and attentive and it is always very refreshing to see a large, open, spotless kitchen. Highly recommend this cafe and its location near the Berlin Tower.

Selbst gemachtes Kebab Brot aus dem Steinofen. Frisches Gemüse, und kein ranziges Formfleisch. Viel mehr kann man sich nicht wünschen. Zudem kommt noch eine sehr nette Atmosphäre, bei der ich mich zumindest immer sofort wie in Istanbul fühle :)
