I think it was an old metzgerei or something. probably from the early 1900s. a friend of mine warned me that the waiter in the evening has the bad habit of stealing her change. (i.e. they are involved in a lively talk, they pay her a beer with a 20, and the waiter just goes away and hopes that they forget it.) that is exactly what happened when I was there. it's nice to see. .. but my advice would be to simply google photos from the place and avoid going there. neither eating nor service is worth it.
