What Anonym dislikes about Yali's Cafe:
The new woman who constantly flirts with both employees and customers is behaving inappropriately. It’s unpleasant, and because of her, my family, friends, and I will never return to this place. She should be fired. View all feedback.

Very good food and coffee (expected great coffee in Berkeley as baseline); very nice people and efficient busy place; nice place to sit but very average ambiance. Would not go out of my way to return but great place across the street from UC Berkeley. Street parking tough and expensive. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

The coffee here is amazing! I also had an everything bagel with cream cheese, and they provided a generous portion of cream cheese—no need to request more! I truly loved it!
The WiFi was malfunctioning, which was disappointing. However, I really enjoyed my grilled chicken sandwich. I did observe that the silverware could have been cleaned more thoroughly, though.
Overall, the restaurant is pretty good, but there's one cashier who is quite rude and stingy with the coffee servings. The rest of the staff is fine, but he seems apathetic about being there and interacting with customers. While I can understand that to some degree, his attitude leads to a lack of service. If I could pinpoint times to avoid him, I definitely would. It’s frustrating when you're just looking for a brief escape from work, and he makes the experience more difficult.

I've visited numerous coffee shops in Berkeley, but Yali's stands out as my favorite stop before work. I often swing by for my morning coffee and even during breaks. Surprisingly, it's usually not crowded, despite the great coffee and service, and there's always a cozy spot to settle into. This is a big advantage for me, as it means I hardly ever have to wait for my morning caffeine fix. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is calm, making it an ideal place for anyone looking to work or study with their laptops and books. They offer a varied menu featuring espresso, pastries, bagels, boiled eggs, and fruit, so you can find everything you need for a perfect breakfast or coffee break. My personal favorite is their iced coffee—it's absolutely fantastic!
This café is the perfect spot for a coffee break! The chai latte isn’t too sweet, which is a nice change from many other places, and their strawberry banana smoothie tastes almost like a milkshake.

I tried out many different coffee places and coffee shops around Berkeley, but I can claim that Yali's is my favorite pre work stop. All my coffees before and sometimes even on coffee breaks, are bought there. There is never a crowd, although the service and the coffee are both great and there is always a cozy place to sit. It?s somehow a surprise, but i like it the way it is because I don?t have to wait for long or wait at all before I get my morning caffeine fix. All employees are friendly and pleasant and the place is pretty quiet so you can always see people with laptops and books, reading, working or studying. They serve espresso, pastries and bagels so you have everything you need for a perfect morning or a perfect coffee break. They even have boiled eggs and fruits! My favorite thing is ICE COFFEE they serve it is simply amazing.
This is the ideal place for coffee breaks! The chai latte isn't as sweet as at many other places, and her strawberry banana smoothie is almost like a shake.
The overall experience at the restaurant is decent, but there's a cashier who is quite rude and miserly when it comes to serving coffee. The rest of the staff is pleasant, but this particular person seems disinterested in being there and reluctant to engage with customers. While I understand that not everyone has to be chatty, this behavior results in poor service. If I could figure out when to avoid him, I definitely would. It's frustrating to come in for a little break from work only to have him make the experience more difficult.
They have great vanilla lattes; if you want to stretch your legs on a study break its nice to stroll down here and get a cup. Decent wifi as well. Good ambiance to the place.
