The Pedro's rice bowl with tri-tip was amazing, as were the spiced potatoes. The beef empanadas were a hit as well. Don't forget to try the yeast-like bread, it was fantastic! Keep in mind that seating is outdoors only, so bring layers for the windy Berkeley weather.

I ordered the 12-ounce bowl of vegan minestrone soup with beans for $12, only to find it tasted like the cardboard cup and plastic lid it was served in. The price for the soup was $1 per ounce, which is quite steep considering the quality. The only redeeming factor was the beer, which was good. Overall, I would not recommend paying such high prices for mediocre food when there are much better options available at other restaurants.

Only negative is the loaded nachos which had some kind of fake cheese sauce on it. Disappointing since it doesn't take much to use real cheese. Had the tortilla soup and salad. Both were very well prepared and yummy. Would still come back to try the others on the menu.
