Description

This Berkeley dessert spot blends authentic matcha with playful, inventive treats — think matcha soft serve, ice cream waffles, taiyaki variations and daifuku — making it a favorite for students and groups. The staff are friendly and seating is roomy with board games, but expect occasional menu substitutions, hard-frozen mochi that needs thawing, and modest, dated decor (bathrooms could improve). Watch for SnackPass kiosk upcharges. Overall it’s a convenient, casual hangout with reliably tasty matcha and eye-catching specialty swirls.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and it reminded me of Somi Somi. I absolutely loved the Taiyaki croissant with Nutella and banana—it was delicious, and I highly recommend trying it! The soft serve and milk tea were also fantastic. They have some board games available to play, or you can bring your own. The bathroom could use some improvement, but everything else was pretty nice.

The cherry blossom mochi was delightful. The matcha mochi was tasty as well, but it was served cold. I've visited this place twice, and both times I ended up ordering items they didn't have. Instead, they provided me with substitutes that were quite different from what I originally requested. For instance, I ordered a taiyaki croissant filled with red bean paste, but they gave me a taiyaki waffle cone filled with the same red bean paste instead. It wasn't very enjoyable.

Japanese craziness and perfection in one place. I love it. Red bean ice cream is awesome and as red as only LSD can otherwise make so much red available to your brain.

GO BEARS Swirl for Cal Day is absolutely beautiful and bursting with school spirit! The Golden Yellow Banana Milk paired with California Blue Vanilla makes for an amazing combination. It's a must-try for everyone visiting Telegraph Ave this weekend!

First, the shop does not care about decoration at all.Secondly, they serve ice cream mochi rock hard right out of freezer. I have to wait 20 minutes for it getting softened.
