This place is fine to bring a girlfriend, friends, even family The vibe is casual even though you can either dress up or down.
Went there 3 times and had poor service all three times Slow staff seemed bothered that we were there Food was hit or miss.
had to wait over 30 minutes just to place our orders. The waitstaff seemed disorganized and inattentive, making the dining experience frustrating. Despite the pleasant atmosphere, the slow service definitely put a damper on our overall experience.
Food is excellent and well priced. Casual, neighborhood feel. Lots of families dining. Bar was empty, dining room full on Saturday night
Our dining experience at Townie was very disappointing. While most of our food was adequate, one dish was nothing like what was described in the menu and didn't improve very much after sending it back to the kitchen As for the service, it was very poor. Things started off badly when multiple people came to take our order. Once we finally established a "primary" waiter, he proved to be completely dazed during our meal, repeating himself several times, forgetting items, and seeming to wander around the restaurant at times rather than checking in on our table and others he was serving. We're not planning to go back
Overall, the restaurant seemed to have mixed reviews with some customers finding the food uninspired and overpriced, while others enjoyed their meals and the attentive service. Some diners were disappointed with the lack of special treatment for celebrations, while others appreciated the cozy atmosphere and delicious food. The restaurant's highlights included a fabulous private dining room, traditional Italian dishes, reasonable wine prices, and friendly staff. Despite some inconsistencies in food quality and service, many diners expressed a desire to return to the restaurant for future meals.
