The waitstaff is atten... read more This saloon has a nice atmosphere the restaurant is made of a number of dining areas with small to mid size tables. It's comfortably lit. The waitstaff is attentive and friendly.I liked the food well enough, it's like what you get at home if you care about cooking. It is a bit noisy inside but that's okay on a small table. The meat was good, nice juicy, falling off the bone ribs and crispy but moist chicken.I deduct a point for the kind of boring deserts. A bit dry and a bit lacking in taste. They were only saved by the sauce. But since for our larger group the meal was served to share it was hard to share the sauce. The same was true for the chicken au jus. One would have to spoon the sauce off the shared plate stunning the co eaters. A waste. Parking: There's a parking lot in the back, and street parking is good.

The cocktails, oh my goodness soo creative and yummy, hard to just have one! I had the grilled shrimp entree, definitely recommend if you want some light but also tasty and fulfilling the grilled chicken sandwich is a must try!! Can't go wrong with the little gem lettuce and hand cut fries oh and desert is a must have! Especially the mason jar brownie ??

The atmosphere was off, the menu limited, and the food was a HUGE disappointment. It’s a shame that a place that was once so popular has declined. For aFriday evening there were a lot of empty tables.

Now, I return about once a month and have come back... read more I used to eat here regularly before the pandemic, visiting every two to three weeks when I was in Berkeley. Now, I return about once a month and have come back to this place. Although the hours and menu are somewhat limited since Berkeley hasn't completely reopened, I find it to be a wonderfully friendly spot. The food is delicious, and the bartenders are skilled at crafting excellent cocktails. This place is now a must-visit every time I'm in town. They serve some outstanding fried anchovy olives that pair perfectly with a martini to kick off the meal. Plus, their daily pasta special never lets me down.
