Description

A favorite for Roman-style, by-the-slice pizza, this Berkeley pizzeria pairs a light, crunchy-bottom crust with creative toppings—from anchovy and spicy salami to avocado and vegetarian options. Slices are pre-baked and reheated for quick service; salads, apps, cacio e pepe, tiramisu and a modest wine and canned-beer list round out the menu. Indoor and outdoor seating, accommodating staff, and counter ordering with table delivery make it ideal for lunches, family celebrations and adventurous diners. Prices lean upscale, but many find the quality worth it.

Incredible Roman-style pizza! They offer fantastic topping combinations, including options for vegetarians. Edit: They've just announced that they will be closing soon, so be sure to try it before it's too late!

This was my first time trying this restaurant. I came in with high hopes based on the positive Google reviews, expecting a great pizza. Unfortunately, half of it seemed to have been sitting out for a long time and was completely dry. I essentially paid $19 for what felt like dried cheese bread with hardly any sauce. I ended up giving the pizza to a homeless person on my way to another pizza place.

The restaurant is pricey, but it's definitely worth it. Our favorite dish by far is the cacio e pepe. The crust is wonderfully crunchy on the bottom and chewy on top. The cheese is creamy and rich, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of pepper, without being overly salty. We did experience a minor issue with our order, but they compensated for it with a complimentary tiramisu, which was delicious. The excellent customer service earns them bonus points as well.

Great pizza! It 's quick because the pizza is made beforehand and they heat it up when you order it. I would say 2 slices is a good amount per person. Each slice is actually cut into three squares so it 's easy to share and try different types. The pizza toppings are interesting and everything tasted great, I like to try new things. I had the Anchovie Pizza and the Spicy Salami, both excellent. Other kinds were really good too, you can 't go wrong!Salads and apps are also good, they have tables for larger groups too. It is the type of place where you order at the counter and then they bring it to your table when it is ready. Everything was very delicious and I would recommend this place! The only negative thing I can say is that they do not offer any gluten-free dishes so I cannot take my wife there. But for work lunches, it 's great!

Roman Street pizza. Their dough undergoes a three day fermentation, and includes five types of flour, all from Italy.
