Was Soraya Barneda at Phở K K a mag?
This is fantastic pho, good herbs and meat, the broth is the best around, and the menu is very diverse. Their fried spring rolls are probably the best I've ever tasted, and the people here are very friendly. View all feedback.
What Fatima Saldivar dislikes about Phở K K:
Yesterday, I decided to try this restaurant after hearing great reviews. Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos because the service was quite problematic from the beginning. Despite being the first to arrive, we had to wait a long time just to get our menus. Although the food was decent, the major issue was the delay in receiving it. Our dishes arrived incomplete, and one dish we ordered was completely forgotten, ev... View all feedback.

Grab the beef Pho on a cold winter evening! Meat’s good quality, noodles fill me up well. I see most of the bad reviews complaining about lack of authenticity, and personally I can’t speak on that because I don’t know anything about Vietnamese cuisine. All I can say is that I really enjoy the taste here! Service also runs quick and smooth.
I’m not sure why there are so many negative reviews, and some of them seem quite exaggerated. I ordered pho, and it was delicious. The herbs were fresh, the meat was well-prepared, and the rice noodles were cooked perfectly. Overall, it was very good. The only downside was the service. It wasn’t that the staff were rude; they just forgot to bring me water and the bill. I was hesitant after reading the bad reviews, but after my visit, I’m convinced this is a lovely place, and I would definitely come back.
I love coming here and there is never a waiting time because the place is great. First, the interior is very simple, but also very modern. I always order number 8 (the basic pho combo bowl pho dac offer) and it always hits the point! I love the tendon It is really good for its price as most other Pho restaurants and the taste is just as good! The service is also very nice and fast. I recommend trying this place!!
This place is hit and miss. Last 2 times here it was pretty good. This time around the pho lacked flavoring in the broth. It was a little blend. Reccomend eating when they first open in the morning for the best broth.
Hands down, the worst Vietnamese restaurant I have ever eaten at. Here are the reasons why: 1) The Vietnamese fish sauce is arguably the most important part of Vietnamese cuisine. Here, it's more like fish sauce and sugar, diluted with water. There are no chili, lime or garlic taste in it whatsoever. 2) Food lacks flavor I had the rice with lemongrass pork chop. The pork chop lacked any flavour whatsoever. It definitely has not been marinated and the taste of chili and lemongrass was lacking. We also had the Pho the soup was too sweet and it wasn't made from bone broth (more like flavour packs). They also provide too little herbs (i.e. Thai basil). Lastly, the pho noodle is also not the correct type of noodle. 3) The accompanying salad consisted of Spinach, parseley and dill three ingredients which made absolutely no sense in a Vietnamese dish. On its own, the salad would have been average, but altogether it was just confusing. 4) I hereby dedicate an entire point to the papaya salad the papaya was cut too thick so it stopped being crunchy and started to become slightly chewy an adjective you never want to use on a salad. Again, the herbs was lacking, and the fish sauce was bad. However, it is not a total disaster whilst the pork chop lacked flavour, it tasted fresh and not dry. The same with the beef in the Pho the meat had a good texture to it. The service was good we were given a big glass of water soon after we sat down and the food arrived within 10 minutes. Nonetheless, it was the worst Vietnamese meal I have ever had. Despite a lack of Vietnamese restaurants in Berkeley, I would not be returning. After returning home, I regret finishing the food. My very Asian body feels violated by the food, and I am currently eating two whole Romaine Hearts in an effort to expel the food from my body in my next toilet break.

Vegetarian options: They had an impressive selection of vegetarian dishes, which was wonderful.
This is the best pho near campus! The family that runs the restaurant is incredibly friendly, making it an overall fantastic spot. It's no surprise they've been awarded the title of Best Pho in Berkeley for six consecutive years.
Ok, my friend is half Vietnamese and half Chinese, and he think this Vietnamese restaurant is good and reminds him of home with their lovely comfort food so I’d definitely give this restaurant 5 star ?There’s a lot of seats inside, and it’s clean. The only thing is that they charge for water, so maybe considering bring your own water bottle if you don’t want to spend on beverages# Beef Combination Pho
Ordered the papaya salad, NEM NƯỚNG CUON and number 14 pho…I came cold and pretty hungry so I’d think I’d be happy with almost anything but the place was almost shockingly bad. Our nem noung cong was literally spam in a spring roll and they tried to tell us that it was minced ground pork compressed. We requested the shrimp spring roll instead and it was topped with 2 shrimp halves and stuffed with only lettuce and rice inside. Our papaya salad which i understand is normally more light than the thai version was just shredded papaya with no seasoning. The only sauce was fish sauce and when I asked abt the chili fish sauce described on the menu for the item the lady somewhat argued with me and brought me out another dish with plain fish sauce and sambal separately. The pho was mediocre at best and very little meat given for a 15 dollar bowl of pho. No limes either with the pho: normally don’t leave negative reviews and I understand restaurants needing to watch sizes with tight margins but it feels like we were scammed out of our money at this place. Definitely would not recommend ?

Solid pho restaurant. Generous portions, lots of seating for larger parties and attentive servers.
I stopped by for lunch while waiting for our laundry to finish. I ordered a pho with rare steak and tendon, while my partner had a pho with beef brisket and flank. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! The vegetables were fresh, and the broth was savory and flavorful. The tendon was tender and delectable. All the meats—rare steak, brisket, and flank—were thinly sliced, just as they should be. It was very satisfying, especially with the addition of Sriracha and hoisin sauce.
I don't understand the numerous negative reviews, some of which are quite exaggerated. I ordered pho, and it was delicious. The herbs were fresh, the meat was well-prepared, and the rice noodles were cooked perfectly. It's a decent place to visit. The only downside was the service; they weren't rude, but they didn't bring me any water or the bill. I had some doubts after reading those negative comments, but after this visit, I'm convinced it's a great spot. I'll definitely be back!
I always enjoy visiting this restaurant, and I never have to wait due to its spaciousness. The interior design is minimalist yet modern. My go-to dish is the number 8, the special combo pho (pho dac biet), and it never disappoints! The tendon is delicious and offers great value compared to other pho places, with similarly tasty flavors. The service here is friendly and efficient as well. I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Food was good but the vibe was too quiet and I don't get the impression that it's a popular choice. Pretty dead with boxes and things around. I don't think the atmosphere is their top priority Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 2
Worst Vietnamese restaurant I have ever been. Food is fine but the customer service is horrible. You do not feel welcomed. Food: 3 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
