Peets is amazing! I was thrilled to go to the original Peets location. They have a unique and authentic feel, with a focus on pastries rather than hot food. The cashier during my visit was friendly and knowledgeable, making me feel very welcomed.
Great people serving good, hot coffee drinks and a nice variety of beans. The little museum by the bathrooms is fun to look at. Sit outside and enjoy people watching while sipping your drink.
This is the original location of the first Peet's Coffee branch. The prices, selection, and atmosphere are similar to what I've encountered at other Peet's locations. The interior design is somewhat awkward, which leads to limited seating. The prices are average, but the quality of the drinks, like the iced red eye and Havana cappuccino, was excellent. I will definitely come back if I'm in the East Bay.
Hard to believe it is older than Starbucks. I don’t particularly like Peet’s coffee or food but since it is historic I showed up and had a good time nonetheless. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $1–10
