There is only one vegan salad option, but it is filled with delicious ingredients and comes in a generous portion size. I have come back to this restaurant multiple times just for this salad.
My friend and I were so excited to order from here. We got the steak salad and poke salad. I have a nice tip on pick up. However, when we opened the order I found a seared ahi tuna salad (not poke) and my friend, who has food allergies, told me it was too salty and the steak was tough. She is also allergic to cilantro so I tried to switch with her, but she couldn 't eat it. The tuna in my salad was not good, and again, not poke. I called, and spoke with the person I ordered from, Vivek Shrethsa, who immediately told me they don 't give refunds and that the poke salad is just what we call it even though it wasn 't poke. He also said they don 't use any salt in the steak salad (I guess the don 't bother seasoning the meat) and it must be the dressing. Flat voice and completely unapologetic. I 'd originally called to give feedback, but his tone was disrespectful so I asked for a refund. He said only solution was to come back in and order something else. We didn 't have time to go back. I asked him to have the manager call me and he said he would, but I could tell he didn 't intend to. I said he didn 't have my number, so he acted like he took it down and hung up on me. My friend said, They 're not going to call. This was on a Friday. I hadn 't received a call by Wednesday so I called again. Vivek again answered and indicated the manager wasn 't there. He then said he could not tell me when he would be in or make him return my call. He said I should stop in the store randomly and keep calling to see if I could catch him. I told him I didn 't have time to do this and asked for the owner 's information which was not given. I told Vivek I didn 't appreciate his attitude, and lack of initiative, and he said the store policy was not to issue a refund, to which I said he was short sighted and that I would write about my negative experience. He then asked if I was threatening him. Being upset by poor customer communications, lack of managerial response and a disrespectful attitude, and saying I will write about it is not a threat. It is a consequence. I asked where this policy was published, and he said I would need to come to the store to see it it was not published online or on the menu. I asked again that the manager contact me, stating I felt it unprofessional to keep my money without a conversation. Vivek said I should have brought the salads back (to prove we hadn 't eaten them), and ordered something else. By that time we were completely soured by the idea of trying something else and driving all the way back to the store to deal with an unsympathetic, unhelpful employee who was basically unapologetic about the NOT POKE salad and blamed my friend for using too much salty dressing why would we take the chance? I am incredulous that he refused to refund a $27 order, I 'm uncertain as to whether he actually took my number and/or gave it to the manager. Had he been nice in the first place I would have just given feedback without a refund request that was my original intent on calling but Vivek 's attitude was unprofessional (let me be clear, while he didn 't raise his voice, his attitude was unhelpful and disrespectful. I 'd be shocked if the manager and owner of this restaurant didn 't call a customer back, but it looks like I 'll never know. To be subtly accused of eating a salad (because I didn 't bring it back) and then asking for a refund is absurd. My salad was misrepresented poke is NOT seared tuna, but that 's not really the point. This is long, I realize, but it had to be said. Needless to say my friend and I won 't be going back, she 's also thinking about writing a review, and we will be telling others about our poor experience.
Not the best experience. The food I ordered, despite looking pretty, was so salty that I didn't want to eat any of it. It seems like they didn't soak/rinse the kelp noodles before serving them. Service was not too good either.Food: 2/5
Fantastic value for money. Good size portions, very fresh ingredients, a wide selection, prepared well and tasted great. Staff are super friendly too.
