I saw the owner's hands when she brought me food, and these are the hands of hard-working people. I appreciate their delicious food and friendly service and the value they keep in the family and in their business. This is probably the only restaurant that opens up until midnight in the area. I'm more than excited to find my hometown food near Berkeley campus. I believe this is the second Hubei food restaurant in north California.Sesame noodle is pretty good, I would say it's Quite Authentic, ingredients, sauce, noodle, everything is good.We ordered some skewers, lamb, beef, chicken wings, they're quite salty even for me, a little bit disappointed, judging by the texture of the meat, you know they cooked... MAN...! Their wonton soup was so NASTY!!! Plain TASTELESS water NONE of the vegetables featured in the item photo came with it!!! The soup was just that BLAND boiled water wontons...! Like NO OTHER Chinese place we apos;ve ever ordered from...! NEVER AGAIN!!!
The Soup dumplings were SO GOOD and are calling me back tonight. Chef Jackie was remarkably thoughtful and called to ensure everything would meet the various health, allergy things going on for us. hugely appreciated, and *delicious*!
The lamb chops at this restaurant were terrible. They were not worth ordering at all. Out of more than 12 pieces, not a single one was edible - they were all rubbery and awful. I would never order this item again.
The lotus chips were not crunchy.
I love that this restaurant has a strong wok aroma - it's delicious!
